This field combines nursing experience with legal knowledge. Nurse paralegals are experienced nurses who bring medical expertise to the practice of law. After completing their studies, the nurse paralegal will be familiar with health care law and other applicable law, legal research and litigation procedures.

They will evaluate and analyze medical data and other information in actual or potential legal disputes. Working under the supervision of attorneys, they will become a member of the legal team and will find employment opportunities in law firms, insurance companies, hospitals, and government agencies.
