The California Judicial Council now certifies court interpreters for Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese.  Should you wish to have a certified Mandarin or Cantonese interpreter to interpret for you in a court in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley, or surrounding cities, please feel free to contact us.  It is now required by law that any person interpreting for the court in California should be either a certified or a registered interpreter.

Our certified Mandarin interpreter was a registered Mandarin interpreter in 2002 and currently she is able to assist you in translation and interpretation related services for the state courts in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and San Jose.

Our interpreter in San Francisco has a Master's degree in Translation and Interpretation and is court certified in the State of California.

As a certified Mandarin Interpreter or a certified Cantonese interpreter, one is required to pass a written exam and an oral exam.  An oral exam is consisted of three parts: Consecutive Interpretation, Sight Translation, and Simultaneous Interpretation.

Currently there are only less than two dozen certified Chinese translators in California and less than half of that number in San Francisco.  Therefore, due to high demand, the cost for a certified Chinese translator in San Francisco is relatively high.

Besides providing certified Chinese translators, we also cooperate with Chinese travel agencies in the United States to provide any other services that you might need.

Certified Chinese Translation

We also provide certified Chinese translation services.  If you plan to set up a company in China, the government agencies in China would require your English documents to be translated with a company seal along with a statement of certified Chinese translation.  Then, your document would need to be notarized.

Oral Interpretation by Certified Cantonese Interpreter in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and San Jose: $250/hour

(Traveling time for oral interpretation is calculated into the total interpretation time)

Written Translation by Certified Chinese Translator: $0.75/English Word or $100/document
