Dear friends,

Thanks for your interest in learning Chinese.

I am a Chinese tutor in London, who speaks standard mandarin, and got some experience on teaching Chinese.

If you are a beginner, Pinyin is your first step, there should be plenty of relevant exercise during our learn, meanwhile, I will teach you some Chinese characters, which are easy to learn, so that you will find it is interesting to start. I understand that Chinese is quite different from European languages, so, a gradual introduction to the characteristics of Chinese languages will be provided in my each lesson. Key speech patterns or constructions will be taught, which are the core components in developing your communicative competence. Also I will help you to build up your confidence by learning and revising bit by bit. During the weektime, you are welcome to ask me any questions about Chinese learning by e-mail.

Reading skill is crucial for adult learners and if they expect to use and understand Chinese well, so if you would like to focus on improving reading and speaking skills, it is better to work on recent business or culture articles from internet and books. According to your reading ability, we can select the articles together before class. To practice constantly and frequently is the keys to success.

I am familiar with lots of popular textbooks in London, if you prefer to study in a systematic way, I can help you to choose a textbook, which can meet your requirements.

If you are going to China in coming future, a small book named The Pocket Interpreter - Chinese will be helpful, there are many useful oral phrases and everyday Chinese in it. Of course, additional material should be added.

My rate is 20 pound per hour, and we can use my working place, which is located in Centre London.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through Los Angeles Chinese Learning Centre.

Happy Learning and best wishes!

Lynn Xu
