Home of the original Actors' Boot Camp, The Acting Corps offers two things,
which allow it to live up to its name as the best Los Angeles acting school.
ONE; practical, expert, daily training by accomplished and CURRENTLY working
actors (mostly Harvard, Yale, and Rutgers MFA's) who prepare you for the film
and TV industry, and TWO; a challenging environment where you work extensively
in every class and get the support and encouragement to LEAVE the classroom and
get an acting job because that's why you came here. Serving Los Angeles
as an acting school carries certain responsibilities which we do not
take lightly. We offer professional acting services such as the ones
found at takelessons.com
Serving Los Angeles as an acting school carries certain responsibilities which
we do not take lightly. We show our respect to the brilliant early and mid 20th
century theatre innovators, from Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler to Sanford
Meisner, Uta Hagen, and Michael Chekhov by doing today what they did in their
time: The Acting Corps gets actors acting. Both beginners and advanced actors
find that our daily, four-week, in-your-face Actors Boot Camp course of study
gets results. The reason is simple - to do something well, you must do it every
day. And as an actor you must train daily in a structured way working on BOTH
acting technique and scene work at the same time; The Acting Corps is the only
short term conservatory acting school in Los Angeles.
After Boot Camp I there is The Actors' Boot Camp II, which concentrates on
deepening acting technique as you learn about the industry and where you fit in,
as well as what it's really like to work in front of the camera on a film or
television set. By the end of these 8 weeks actors we fully expect you to
AUDITION and get called back. Why? Because you didn't come here to sit in an
acting school in Los Angeles - you now have the acting skills and the business
tools to go out and get work.
For those focusing on specific career goals while auditioning, there is The
Advanced Program and The Master Class. The Advanced Program offers six rotating
months of study in all the genres. The genres or styles covered are film,
theater, commercials, sitcoms, comedy, and episodic TV – a process unique to
this Los Angeles acting school. For those well along in their careers and craft,
there is the Master Class with Artistic Director Eugene Buica which focuses on
career development, artistic excellence, and generating Acting Corps film
projects.
