LA Institute of Translation and Interpretation offers Mandarin (Chinese) court interpreting programs, Mandarin  medical interpreter training programs, court certified Mandarin interpreter training, M.A. in Chinese Translation and Interpretation, as well as related classes in Chinese translation and Mandarin interpretation.

State of California conducts tests twice a year to certify court, administrative hearing, and medical interpreters.
L.A. Institute of Translation and Interpretation is approved by the State Government to provide : M.A. in Translation and Interpretation and 1-year Certificate in Translation and Interpretation. Conveniently located in downtown Los Angeles with easy access from Metro, this school of interpreter training provides courses on consecutive interpretation, sight translation, simultaneous interpretation and vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension in Chinese as well as several other languages to help you become certified in court, administrative hearing and medical certification tests in the State of California.

On December 3, 2007, 10-week classes begin in Mandarin (Chinese)/English.

Mondays 7:00pm-10:00pm Simultaneous Interpretation 7-10 pm (December 3, the orientation class is open to public)

Tuesdays 7:30pm-10:00pm Written Translation / Exam
