|
|
(Maybe relevant in India only)
Most of us at one time or the other have been victims of ATM machine's malfunction. The fallback gets compounded when we require timely money and the machine is outrighly out of order, doesn't accept the card or makes and entry of withdrawal but gives NO cash(most frustrating).
Add to all this: a 1600-____-___-____ Helpline number which can only be called from a fixed landline mumber. How could a customer with more waiting outside, leave his card etc and go out, search for a PCO and call that number? It's quite unreasonable to expect so.
Maybe the practice of providing a toll free number got passed on without much thought to automated teller machines.
With kind attn to all policy makers to include a Mobile Helpline Number (something lile 0-91142-420024). Since with God's grace most of us have mobiles, we can instantly call and ask for immediate action, I believe some of us may have their stories to tell... |
